Forkcast is building a decentralized food economy utilizing blockchain and fueled by a native cryptocurrency. We seek the brightest minds, and offer a fast paced, technologically sophisticated and friendly work environment.

A Forkcast economist will apply the frontier of economic thinking to market design, pricing, forecasting, game theory, money flows and other areas. You will apply cutting-edge economic theory, build innovative economic models, and econometrically test them on proprietary data. Economists will be expected to develop and apply econometric methods to process large data sets, solve a variety of applied problems grounded in microeconomics, IO, and behavioral economics, as well as contribute to the design of automated systems.

Forkcast is offering candidates a consulting role that could grow into a full time position leading a team of economists. Forkcast is considering a range of tenures from promising final-year PhD candidates that would prefer to grow into a full time leadership position to experienced economists who may find a part-time consulting project more appealing.

Forkcast is looking for candidates with strong training in microeconomics, IO, and monetary economics, as well as a demonstrated ability to develop and empirically test sophisticated models of economic behavior at the level of individual economic agents.
