The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) has a distinguished and important mission in protecting America’s pensions. We are seeking an Economist who will perform the following duties:

As an Economist in the Policy, Research and Analysis Department you will:

-Design and conduct special reviews, studies, and analyses of potential future outcomes for the financial condition of PBGC and the defined benefits pension system and of important economics.

-Plan and conduct research and prepares significant analyses and recommendations on both PBGC- focused topics as well as policy initiatives that may encompass broader retirement income issues.

-Participate in meetings with senior level PBGC officials, representatives of the Board of Directors, Congressional staff, representatives from Labor, Treasury and Commerce Departments, other federal agencies, and members of the pension community o provide complex economic and pension plan analyses, data and statistics.
