The Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure track position at the assistant professor level beginning September 2018, requiring Ph.D. or degree completed by August 2018. Advanced assistant professors are welcome to apply. We seek a macroeconomist whose research is focused on money and banking. Applicants should be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching and scholarly research. Teaching duties include money and banking, core economics courses, and other courses in the candidate’s field of specialization. The teaching load is four courses per year for the first two years and five courses per year thereafter, with a one-semester leave every fourth year. In a cover letter applicants should carefully discuss areas of research and teaching interest.

The Department will conduct interviews at the ASSA meetings in January, 2018.
