The Department of Business Administration and Accounting at Hartwick College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor starting in August, 2018, pending final administrative approval. We seek candidates with expertise in Analytical Business / Quantitative Analysis, with preference given to those with secondary fields in Operations Research or International Business. Minimum qualifications include a PhD in Business Analytics, Applied Microeconomics, or a related discipline by the time of the appointment and evidence of teaching excellence.

Specific teaching assignments will include Introduction to Business, Business Statistics, Statistical Analysis in Operations, Operations Research, and possibly general education courses, including First Year Seminars. Teaching load will average 20 semester credit hours or their equivalent per academic year, and all faculty members teach during the College’s distinctive four-week January Term. Our department embraces entrepreneurship and promotes experiential and community-based learning in a small undergraduate liberal arts setting. The successful candidate must be committed to excellence and innovation in undergraduate teaching, active engagement in scholarly or creative activities, and working closely with students in a small college environment. Committee service and academic advising also are expected for tenure and promotion.
