Gettysburg College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Public Policy.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in Public Policy or a related field with a policy emphasis, be committed to teaching in the liberal arts tradition, and show potential for scholarly engagement. Candidates should be able to show demonstrated excellence in teaching. Although the specific policy area is open, the ideal candidate’s area of expertise will complement existing majors or departments offered at the College. We strongly encourage candidates who can demonstrate through their teaching, scholarship, or governance that they can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our community.

A curriculum vitae, cover letter, writing sample, transcripts, and a separate statement of the applicant’s teaching philosophy should be submitted. In addition, applicants should enter the names and email addresses of three professional references, at least one of whom can speak to the applicant’s teaching effectiveness. After the applicant completes the online application, the professional references indicated will be contacted by Gettysburg College via email to submit letters of recommendation electronically.
