The Vancouver School of Economics at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver Campus invites applications for up to 3 tenure-track positions at the level of Assistant Professor. Starting date: July 1, 2018. We are seeking outstanding candidates primarily in the fields of Public Economics, Labour Economics, Behavioural Economics (theoretical and experimental), and market design, but in truly exceptional cases, candidates working outside of these fields may be given consideration. Positions are subject to final budgetary approval.

Qualifications: For appointment at the Assistant Professor level, the candidate must have a Ph.D. (or solid indication of imminent completion) in a relevant field, and demonstrate excellence or clear promise of excellence in teaching and in research. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active program of research, teaching, graduate supervision, and service. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Applications must include a c.v., evidence of teaching effectiveness and samples of research papers. The applicant must arrange to have at least three confidential reference letters submitted directly by the referee. We also encourage anyone who desires to include a one page statement identifying the applicant's contribution, or potential contribution, to diversity, along with their ability to work with a culturally diverse student body.
