The Vancouver School of Economics at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver Campus invites applications for a senior professorial position, primarily at the Associate Professor level but we may also consider truly exceptional candidates for appointment at the level of Professor. Our priority fields are Public Economics, Labour Economics, Behavioural Economics (theoretical and experimental), and market design, however truly exceptional candidates working outside these fields may be given consideration. Starting date: July 1, 2018. The successful candidate will be appointed to the rank appropriate to their level of experience. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

Qualifications: For appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level, the candidate must have a Ph.D., a distinguished international reputation, an outstanding record of publications in top-ranked journals, a proven record of excellence in teaching, and a track record of effective Ph.D. supervision. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active program of research, teaching, graduate supervision, and service. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Applications must include a c.v., evidence of teaching effectiveness and samples of research papers. We encourage anyone who desires to also include a one page statement identifying the applicant's contribution, or potential contribution, to diversity, along with their ability to work with a culturally diverse student body.
