The Department of Economics invites applications for faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level. We have a particular interest in the fields of Macroeconomics and Econometrics. Candidates must demonstrate potential for creative research and receive a Ph.D. by August 2018.

The University of Konstanz, with its institutional strategy to promote top-level research has been receiving continuous funding within the framework of the Excellence Initiative by the German Federal and State Governments and has a strong reputation as a research institution. The assistant professorship contracts will run for six years, subject to positive evaluation after three years. The position in Econometrics is a tenure-track position. Although the position in Macroeconomics is not tenure-track, tenured positions are likely to open up at the department and all successful non-tenured researchers are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of German is not required.

Interviews will be held at the ASSA meetings in Philadelphia.
