Litigation Analytics offers unmatched opportunities for labor economists. We operate as a voice for labor economics in an environment of adverse proceedings in which hundreds of millions of dollars change hands annually based on what can only be called “counterfeit economics.” In applying the economics of human capital to study the economic impact of injury or death on victims and/or their families, our economists are involved with educating lawyers, judges, and casualty insurance professionals who have learned their “economics” in a courtroom. We also strive to educate academic economists unaware of this potential area of application for their research. We support our economists’ individual research, while they provide support and frequently testify in court proceedings throughout the country. Clients include the nation’s leading law firms and casualty insurance companies. In addition to our direct involvement in litigation, LAI is involved with several initiatives designed to unlock research funding for labor and education research. LAI’s work environment is quite unlike that of most consulting firms. Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in economics with emphasis on human capital. All positions are in our Dallas and Boston offices and include superior salary, dependent on experience, benefits and potential for bonuses.
