The Department of Business and Economics, University of Southern Denmark in Odense, invites applications for a two-year Postdoc position in the area of Applied Econometrics with focus on SHARE and/or SHARE-REGLINK data starting on August 1st, 2018 or on a mutually agreed date.

Job Qualifications:
We seek candidates with a strong research potential in applied econometrics who must demonstrate the ability to publish in leading international journals within applied econometrics or related. All areas of social science with this focus are invited and knowledge of Danish is not required for the position. Applicants should have completed their Ph.D. in a social scientific or related discipline prior to starting.

About the Econometric Group:
The Econometric Group is a central player in the department’s Econometrics and Management Science unit. The aim of the group is to carry out research of high international standard documented through publications in internationally distinguished journals and through presentations at top conferences. Among other SDU activities, the group integrates with the Center of Health Economics Research (COHERE); the strategic initiative Health, Wealth and Inequality (HeWI), and it collaborates with the Max-Planck Odense Center on the Biodemography of Aging (MaxO). Furthermore, the group hosts the Danish CT for Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE) and the Consortium for SHARE-REGLINK, which is a linkage between Danish SHARE and register data, to which the Postdoc will be affiliated.

The group offers undergraduate and graduate courses in econometrics and statistics. The teaching load is favorable. Favorable tax agreements may apply to non-Danish applicants.

Interviews will be conducted at the ASSA-AFA meetings in Philadelphia, January 5-7, 2018.
