The Department of Economics in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin August 2018. We seek an applied microeconomist specializing in environmental or energy economics. The ideal candidate will have experience in applied empirical research and be able to contribute to teaching econometrics at the undergraduate and/or master's levels.

Our department focuses on applied microeconomics and offers Ph.D. fields in environmental, labor, public, health, experimental, and urban economics. We have developed an excellent research reputation in these areas. The Andrew Young School is ranked among the top 20 schools in Policy Analysis, and Georgia State University is a unique urban university in Downtown Atlanta ranked as one of the most innovative and most diverse universities in the country.

Applicants should have received a Ph.D. in economics or a related field prior to employment. Applicants should provide a CV, three reference letters, and a writing sample. All applications must be submitted through the American Economic Association’s Job Openings for Economists website (https://www.aeaweb.org/joe/).

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. At time of offer, a background check will be required. To receive full consideration, complete applications must be received by November 30, 2017. Candidate interviews will be conducted at the ASSA meetings in January 2018 in Philadelphia. Candidates will be considered until the position is filled.
