Wilfrid Laurier University, Lazaridis School of Business and Economics, Department of Economics. Applications are invited for a Professional Teaching position (tenure track) appointment commencing July 1, 2018 at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor subject to budgetary approval. Requirements for the position include:

-At least two years teaching experience (or equivalent) in post-secondary education;
-A PhD in Economics (or near completion);
-Demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence and a commitment to pedagogical innovation and scholarship.

Applications in all fields will be considered but preference will be given to those candidates with expertise in macroeconomics, applied microeconomics, economic history and applied econometrics.

Normally, faculty holding a Professional Teaching position will teach six one-term courses annually over two or three terms.

Applications should include a covering letter, a curriculum vitae, a link to or pdf file for research papers, three letters of reference and a teaching dossier which provides:

-An account (max. 3 pages) which describes (i) your contributions to teaching (including work done on curriculum development and pedagogical innovation) and describes (ii) the evidence related to the quality of your teaching performance;
-Teaching evaluations for all courses taught (include both raw data and a summary of that data);
-The most recent syllabi for all courses taught over the last five years.
