Rowan University is a public comprehensive state and Carnegie designated research institution with approximately 17,300 students. Its main campus is located in Glassboro, N.J., 20 miles southeast of Philadelphia, with additional campuses in Camden and Stratford.

The Department of Political Science and Economics has an opening for one Assistant Professor or a junior Associate Professor in either Economics or Political Science with a specialization in Political Economy beginning Fall 2018. We seek candidates with research and teaching interests in Political Economy. The position is open with respect to the substantive focus in political economy, broadly defined (e.g., comparative or international political economy, political economy of public/social choice, political economy of development, etc.).

This is an interdisciplinary position where the faculty will teach 2 classes in one discipline and 1 class in the other discipline. The successful candidate will also teach calculus-based Intermediate Microeconomics to economics majors.

A Ph.D. in Economics, Political Science or related discipline must be completed by July 31, 2018.

Evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching is required and applicants must demonstrate strong research abilities and the potential to secure external funding.
