Tulane University’s Education Research Alliance for New Orleans seeks a senior level Scientific Research Analyst III to support research primarily related to a large randomized trial of financial aid for low-income students. ERA-New Orleans is a collaborative interdisciplinary research center, including researchers from economics, sociology, psychology, and political science.

The Scientific Research Analyst III will clean, code, and analyze data, prepare written research reports, and engage in some project management. The organization provides extensive support, including funding, for professional development, including attending conferences.

Required Education And Experience: Master's degree in economics, sociology, statistics, education, public policy or related field and 3 years related experience or Bachelor’s degree in aforementioned fields and 5 years related experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities/Competencies Typically Needed To Perform This Job Successfully:

1. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
2. Excellent interpersonal skills.
3. Highly proficient computer skills and a working knowledge of statistical software applications.
4. Highly proficient research and data analysis skills.
5. Ability to work independently and simultaneously on many complex tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. ABD in economics, sociology, statistics, education, public policy or related field and 3 years directly related experience.
2. Project management experience.
