The Willows Impact Evaluation Research Project in the Department of Global Health and Population at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health invites applications from candidates for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position from December 1, 2017. The project is planned to run for six years. Appointments will initially be for one year with the potential for renewal.

The successful candidate will contribute to research evaluating the implementation and impact of Reproductive Health Programs in treatment and control sties in Ghana, Pakistan, Tanzania and Turkey. The work will involve designing data collection instruments, monitoring data collection and quality in the field; and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data.

Working under the guidance of Principal Research Scientist Iqbal Shah and Professor David Canning, the Fellows will be expected to participate actively in research, writing, and the dissemination of results.

Candidates should hold a doctoral degree in a relevant field, such as global health, demography, economics, sociology, or epidemiology. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence in research in program evaluation. Experience of primary data collection, particularly in the countries to be studied, and familiarity with reproductive health and family planning programs is desirable.
