CANCEA is a growing analytics firm that bridges many disciplines and works with large amounts of data. We conduct a lot of policy work in Canada and require an economist that has a strong command over Excel (data filtering, pivoting, graphing), who has excellent report writing abilities and who is intrigued with simulation and analysis within CANCEA’s proprietary agent-based model of the Canadian economy and financial system.

Reporting to the CEO, the position will undertake analysis and report writing in the field of macroeconomics, forecasts, economic impact analysis, and other research activities that enhance the competitive standing of the our consulting and our policy business.

As the economist position will also be involved in custom projects across different sectors of the economy, it is important that the candidate be a quick learner and demonstrate versatility. The candidate will also need to have an understanding of economic theory and have the ability to work closely in a team environment to carry out activities requiring accuracy in calculations, completeness of data and adherence to prescribed methodology.

This is a full-time permanent position located in Toronto and is available immediately.
