Subject to budgetary authorization, the Department of Economics will consider applications for one position at the assistant professor level to begin July 1, 2018. We invite applications from both new Ph.D.s and individuals a few years post Ph.D. The department seeks candidates with expertise in one or more of the above fields. Applicants with joint interests, for example in urban and transportation economics or development and transportation economics would be especially attractive, but individuals working in a single area are also encouraged to apply. Successful candidates must demonstrate substantial promise for a scholarly career.

Completed applications containing a curriculum vitae, sample of research, and three letters of recommendation should be uploaded electronically via UC Irvine’s online application system, RECRUIT, located at: https://recruit.ap.uci.edu/apply/JPF04269. A separate statement that addresses past and/or potential contributions to diversity, equity and inclusion must also be included in the application materials.

To receive fullest consideration, applications should be received by November 27, although the position will be open until filled.
