The Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of California, Berkeley, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the area of Natural Resource Economics, expected to begin July 1, 2018.

We seek candidates with a strong interest in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and evidence of high productivity in policy-relevant, theoretically sound, and empirically grounded research in the theoretical or applied economic analysis of issues relating to natural resource economics. The department is interested in candidates who will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education through their teaching, research, and service.

At a minimum, applicants must have completed all degree requirements for the Ph.D. or equivalent degree with the exception of dissertation at the time of application. A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics, or a related area, is required by the appointment start date. Interested candidates should submit a Curriculum Vitae, Job Market Paper, a letter of intent containing a teaching and research statement, evidence of teaching effectiveness (Evaluations, course assessments, scores, ratings, or comments, as it relates to your performance as an instructor or teaching assistant), and three letters of recommendation (requested directly through our online application system).
