The McCourt School of Public Policy and the Data Analytics Program of the Graduate School of Georgetown University invite applications for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor in the Field of Data Analytics.

A successful candidate will have research and teaching focused on applying modern data analytic skills to find solutions to important public policy problems. The successful applicant will have skills in statistical inference, R, Python, and modern data analytics techniques such as machine learning, cloud computing, distributed computing, network analysis, and text analysis. A Ph.D. in political science, policy, statistics, computer science, economics, or related fields is expected by the appointment date.

Georgetown established the McCourt School in 2013 with a generous naming gift from Frank McCourt that allows for faculty expansion, a Massive Data Institute, and a new Institute of Politics and Public Service. The Data Analytics Program has been offering a Master of Science in Analytics degree since 2015. The Analytics program provides students with a rigorous training in computational, mathematical, and statistical methods.
