Role of the Position:
The Lee Business School and Department of Economics at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas seeks to hire a tenure track assistant professor with outstanding research potential in health economics with an emphasis in health disparities. Although the position is housed in Economics, it will be part of a new interdisciplinary research collaboration titled 'Health for Nevada Initiative'. As such, evidence of participation in interdisciplinary health-related research projects and grant writing will be a plus. The successful candidate will also be expected to teach high -quality courses in health economics and other economics courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The Lee Business School consists of five departments and a number of centers. The School has approximately 75 faculty and 3,600 students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs. A number of collaborative programs with other colleges of the university are in place, and more are under consideration.

Qualifications:
Completed PhD in Economics by August 2018 from a regionally accredited college or university;
Demonstrated potential to conduct high quality research in health economics;
Demonstrated potential to publish in leading economics and health journals;
Demonstrated potential to engage in interdisciplinary collaborative research;
Demonstrated potential to become a high quality teacher at graduate and undergraduate levels.

Salary Range:
Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
