The School of Public Economics and Administration (SPEA) at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE) seeks applications for Full-Time, Tenure-track Assistant Professor or Tenured-Associate Professor, beginning in the 2018-2019 academic year.

For the assistant professor’s positions, applicants should have a PhD or an anticipated PhD completion by August 2018 in the field of Public Economics, Industry Investment, Urban Economics, Real Estate, Public Management, Nonprofit Management, Public Policy, Urban and Land Policy or a related field.

The School of Public Economics and Administration at SUFE is a NASPAA member and is the first Public Administration School in mainland China to apply tenure-track system to recruit faculties. SUFE, founded in 1917, is a top-ranked, world-renowned research university. SPEA is a top school in the area of public economics and finance in China.

We would welcome applicants across different research specializations. It is important that applicants demonstrate the capacity to establish a research agenda that will lead to scholarly publications. Successful applicants will be expected to teach courses in the public administration core curriculum for the undergraduate and master’s level teaching, such as Administrative Ethics. In addition to producing quality scholarship and effective teaching, responsibilities will include participation in department, school and university service and related professional activities.

Review of applications will begin on October 10th, 2017 and we will conduct interviews on 2018 AEA Annual Meeting held in Philadelphia, PA on January 5-7, 2018 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
