The Department of Economics in the College of Business at James Madison University invites applications for two tenure track appointments at the assistant professor level beginning fall 2018. All applicants must have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. One position is reserved for a candidate with teaching and research interest in the field of Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics. Candidates with teaching and research interest in Open Economy Macroeconomics are also encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with strong empirical focus in their research and solid Econometrics background. Second position is reserved for a candidate with teaching and research interest in Environmental Economics, Applied Microeconomics and Applied Econometrics. Candidates with general fields A, who are willing to teach in C, E, and Q5, will also be considered. Applicants should demonstrate a high level of scholarship and provide evidence of quality teaching.

Ph.D. and teaching experience preferred but ABD's will be considered.
