Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Economics Department at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor with a required primary field in Behavioral Economics to start in August 2018. Candidates with a secondary field in Political Economy will be preferred. An earned PhD in Economics or ABD in Economics with expected completion date by August 2018 is required. Candidates must have demonstrated evidence of research in the primary field of Behavioral Economics, as well as a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

The Department offers B.S. and B.A. degrees in economics and offers courses for a number of graduate programs on campus. The teaching load is nine hours per semester and will include courses in behavioral economics, principles classes, and developing upper-division courses in the area of political economy. Duties will also include committee work and advising, mentoring and recruiting majors and minors for the economics department. Demonstrated commitment to diversity in the educational community is required.
