Shanghai University is co-sponsored by China’s Ministry of Education and Shanghai Municipal Government. It is listed as a national university of “211” project. Shanghai University has 27 schools/colleges and 2 independent departments.

The School of Economics at Shanghai University invites applicants for permanent/full-time positions. Rank and fields are open. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Economics or a related discipline from a leading university. ABDs must have completed their Doctorate at the time of appointment. The successful candidate should demonstrate interest and ability to conduct high quality research. Senior appointments are expected to assume a leadership role. Salaries are competitive, and will be commensurate with qualification.

Candidates at the rank of associate or full professor must have demonstrated an excellent record in academic research and teaching.

Candidates at the rank of lecturer or assistant professor level should have a Ph.D. from prestigious overseas universities.
