The Department of Economics (www.ualberta.ca/economics) in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Alberta invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor with a starting date of July 1, 2018.

Qualified candidates must hold a PhD in Economics or be close to completion. Entry-level candidates much demonstrate outstanding potential for teaching and research. Candidates at the Associate Professor level must have demonstrated excellence in teaching and research. One position is in macroeconomics and the other position is in microeconomics. We are open to any fields of specialization within macroeconomics and microeconomics respectively. Responsibilities will include maintaining an active research program, teaching in both undergraduate and graduate student programs, and graduate student research supervision.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The Department will be considering candidates for interviews at the AEA meeting in Philadelphia in January 2018 or at the Toronto CEEE Meeting in December.
