The Williams College Economics Department invites applications for visiting faculty positions for the 2018-19 academic year, beginning July 1, 2018. Teaching responsibilities will consist of two sections of microeconomics or macroeconomics, at either the introductory or intermediate level, in one semester; and two electives to be determined in the other semester. We are particularly interested in candidates who are able to teach environmental economics. Demonstrated excellence in teaching is essential. Additionally, we seek candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their scholarship, teaching and/or service; and we especially encourage applications from members of historically underrepresented groups in the field. Candidates should have a Ph.D, or all requirements for the Ph.D. degree completed by July 1, 2018.

Applicants should submit their curriculum vitae and teaching evaluations, and arrange for three letters of reference to be submitted on their behalf. We will be accepting applications on an ongoing basis until the positions are filled. All materials should be submitted through Interfolio at http://apply.interfolio.com/43829. Email, fax, or paper applications cannot be accepted. All offers of employment are contingent upon completion of a background check. Further information is available here: http://dean-faculty.williams.edu/prospective-faculty/background-check-policy/. Questions regarding the search may be directed to Professor Kenneth Kuttner, Chair, Department of Economics, at kenneth.n.kuttner@williams.edu.
