The Department of Economics and Finance in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business invites applications for two tenure-track assistant professor positions in any field of microeconomics (including economic history) in which the applicant has a clear focus on conducting policy-related research. These are nine-month positions with a typical teaching load of 4 courses (12 credit hours) per academic year, with an anticipated starting date of August 1, 2018.
Minimum requirements include a Ph.D. in economics or a related field such as public policy. Candidates must have an interest in applied policy research, excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication skills, and must support the Huntsman School’s focus on student success. Excellent teaching, student mentoring, and high-impact research are required. In addition, successful applicants will be affiliated with the Center for Growth and Opportunity at Utah State University.
