The Department of Economics, Otaru University of Commerce, invites applications for one tenured position as associate professor in Economics starting after 01 April 2018. Applicants should have outstanding research records in the field of econometric theory or applications of econometrics.

Applicants should have a PhD degree before taking up the position. Major responsibilities include teaching statistics, econometrics and some courses depending on our curriculum needs and their expertise in our undergraduate and graduate programs, and research within the fields of econometric theory or applications of econometrics. We welcome wide range of specialists from econometric theory to empirical studies as long as they have strong background of econometrics. Applicants must be fluent in Japanese.
