The Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at NC State University (NCSU), in conjunction with the Center for Environmental and Resource Economic Policy, seeks applicants for an Assistant Professor of Microeconomics with a focal area in Water Resource Economics.

We seek individuals who have the ability to develop an outstanding research program related to the management of water resources in the face of sustainability challenges including increasing competition for water resources, agricultural and processing industries water and wastewater management challenges, population growth and land-use change, and changing regulatory structures. All applicants should demonstrate strong interests in applied research and must possess excellent quantitative skills. Priority will be given to candidates that demonstrate a capacity for interdisciplinary collaborations.

This position will be expected to develop an outstanding record of scholarly research, including successful participation in interdisciplinary research and in extramurally funded research projects; develop a strong outreach and engagement program with stakeholders in N.C. on water resource management, and teach one interdisciplinary water-resource economics course per year.
