Aalto University in Finland was created in 2010 as an outcome of a high-profile merger between three leading universities in Finland – the Helsinki School of Economics, the Helsinki University of Technology and the University of Art and Design Helsinki. Aalto University School of Business is the leading business school in Finland.
Aalto University School of Business invites applications for:
Appointments are possible for a period of 1-3 years starting from August 1st 2017. Applicants in all areas of Finance will be considered. The anticipated teaching load is two six-week courses and two seminars per academic year.
The Finance Group is strongly dedicated to research, as shown by a stream of research published in top Finance and Economics journals. Teaching assignments encompass undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. programs, and courses are taught in English. The Department runs an excellent seminar series and is equipped with all major Finance databases. Many faculty members also have access to unique registry-based data sets from Finland. Finland is consistently ranked highly in quality-of-life studies. It is the best country in the world according to a Newsweek 2010 study. Helsinki is the 9th most livable city in the world according to a 2016 report by the Economist Intelligence Unit.
The selected candidates will be expected to teach courses in Finance in our undergraduate and graduate programs, aim to publish in top journals, advice students and participate in faculty du-ties. Applicants should have completed their Ph.D. in Finance or a related field, or be close to completion.
