The Congressional Research Service (CRS) is seeking a senior research manager to lead its Resources, Science, and Industry Division. CRS works exclusively for the U.S. Congress, providing policy and legal analysis to committees and Members of both the House and Senate, regardless of party affiliation. As a legislative branch agency within the Library of Congress, CRS has been a valued and respected resource on Capitol Hill for more than a century.

As a senior executive in CRS, the assistant director will manage the Resources, Science, and Industry Division, one of five research divisions, in providing expert analysis that meets ongoing congressional policy-making and oversight. The Resources, Science and Industry Division covers issues and policy developments related to the nation's natural resources and environmental management, scientific advances and technology applications, and industry and infrastructure. Managing a professional staff of approximately 70 technical and subject matter experts, the assistant director reports to the CRS director and advises on all aspects of research management and operations of the Service.

CRS is fully committed to workforce diversity. Interested applicants must apply online at http://www.loc.gov/crsinfo by January 3, 2017.
