The Global Financial Literacy Excellence Center (GFLEC) at the George Washington University School of Business invites applications for a Director of Research position. The successful candidate will be responsible for all research activities and leading GFLEC’s growing research team. The incumbent is expected to publish in academic and other journals. He/she will also be expected to write reports, policy briefs, and other research based documents. At times this person will also be expected to foster relationships with research collaborators and funders. The Director of Research reports to Prof. Annamaria Lusardi, founder and academic director of GFLEC.

In addition to a PhD in Economics, experience in management and grant writing is desired. Experience in financial literacy and applied research preferred, but not required.

GFLEC is one of the leading research centers on financial literacy and financial capability. It is reflective of expertise not only in financial literacy, but also in the translational power of academic research to inform policy and practice.
