The University of South Carolina Upstate Johnson College of Business and Economics is seeking applicants for a tenure-track, nine-month, Assistant Professor of Economics beginning 8/16/2017. This faculty position will teach in economics, with specialization in any field, on the Spartanburg and/or Greenville campus. The candidate should embrace diversity and be comfortable with community engagement and service that might include student advising, undergraduate research, and experiential learning.

Minimum qualifications:
Ph.D. in Economics from an AACSB-accredited institution required; and be qualified as "Scholarly Academic" under the AACSB 2013 standards. ABD with anticipated completion date before August 16, 2017 will be considered. Commitment to research, excellence in undergraduate teaching, and service are required.

Preferred qualifications:
Professional and teaching experience preferred, as well as the ability to work closely with students and the professional community.
