Announcement of Faculty Vacancy

Maryville College, a selective four-year liberal arts college, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Economics position beginning in August 2017. The Ph.D. in Economics and college teaching experience is required.

We seek a broadly trained economist with teaching responsibilities including Principles of Economics, the History of Economic Thought, Money and Banking, Professional Issues (a seminar for Economics and Business majors), and the ability to contribute to our general education curriculum. Additional responsibilities include institutional service, academic advising, and mentoring undergraduate students through Senior Thesis research projects. An understanding of and a commitment to liberal arts learning is a must.
