Position: Open Rank; Innovation and Entrepreneurship; tenure track
Anticipated Start Date: July 1, 2017

Responsibilities: The successful candidate is expected to have a distinguished program of research and teaching in the area of innovation and entrepreneurship. Desirable candidates should be at the interface of innovation and entrepreneurship and various fields, including but not limited to economics, finance, sociology, strategy, management and organizations, marketing, and operations management. This is an open rank search, however the successful candidate will be called upon to take a leadership role in strengthening the College's research and instructional capabilities related to innovation and entrepreneurship and in fostering collaboration with faculty across areas. The candidate will be expected to maintain a highly impactful program of research relevant to broad societal, economic and business issues and to communicate results to public audiences and practitioners as well as academic peers.

The appointment may be made in whichever of the College's three AACSB-accredited Schools best fit the successful candidate's specific expertise. The Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management (Johnson) offers professional Masters and PhD programs. Courses and programs are taught at Cornell's main Ithaca campus, the Cornell Tech campus in New York City, and other locations across the globe. The School of Hotel Administration (SHA) is the world's premier School in hospitality management, offering bachelor's through PhD degrees. SHA also hosts the University's real estate programs. The Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management is a top-ranked undergraduate business program and home to premier graduate (MPS, MS and PhD) programs in applied economics. The successful candidate will also belong and contribute to at least one of the College's seven academic Areas: Accounting, Applied Economics and Policy, Finance, Management and Organizations, Marketing and Communication, Operations, Technology and Information Management, or Strategy and Business Economics.

Potential exists to collaborate with researchers across Cornell, including scholars in Cornell's outstanding programs in economics, engineering, human resource studies, organizational behavior, computing and information sciences, and the New York City Tech campus. Cornell also has a University-wide entrepreneurship program which provides opportunities for cross-campus engagement, including in two new E-Hub facilities that provide collaborative space for student and faculty teams.

Qualifications: A Ph.D. in economics, finance, sociology, organizational behavior or theory, strategy, or other business fields with an emphasis on innovation and entrepreneurship is required.
