The Social Science Data Analytic initiative at Michigan State University is seeking to hire a tenure track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor who has experience applying data analytics to social science problems. The subject area and tenure home for the position is open. The successful applicant could specialize in Economics, Political Science, Geography, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Psychology or other related disciplines. We seek diverse, talented individuals who are using new technologies and large-scale data in creative ways to foster knowledge about the social world. Experience in applying Bayesian methodologies, statistical learning, geospatial prediction, text analytics, causal inference, network analysis, or data visualization are particularly valued.
