The Department of Education Policy, Organization and Leadership in the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign invites applications for a full-time tenured/tenure-track assistant or associate professor position in the Economics of Education. We seek applicants who apply economic tools to the study of important policy-relevant topics within the field of education. We seek applicants who use experimental, quasi-experimental, econometric, applied microeconomic, or similar methodological approaches in their research. We are especially interested in candidates who use economic approaches to consider research questions related to social justice and/or inequality in a variety of educational settings. Applicants must have completed a Ph.D., or an equivalent degree, in Economics, Education, or a similar field before the start date of employment. Review of applications will begin on December 5, 2016.
