The Directorate General Research (DG/R) of the European Central Bank (ECB) is interested in hiring economists with PhDs in economics or finance. DG/R has two main responsibilities: (i) conducting research in macroeconomics, financial economics, monetary and international economics, and macroeconometrics; and (ii) providing research-based policy advice in the areas mentioned above, and applying conceptual frameworks for policy analysis and macroeconometric models for forecasting and scenario analysis.
Successful candidates will be expected to conduct and publish high-quality research and actively contribute to DG/R’s policy work.
