Qualifications:
Ph.D. in economics or a closely related field by the start of appointment. Teaching experience and research expertise in applied microeconomics. Preference is for fields in Economic History, Labor Economics, Public Policy, and Law and Economics.

A commitment to outstanding teaching of applied economic reasoning and problem solving at the undergraduate and graduate level is required. Candidates should demonstrate experience, understanding, and/or potential for excellence in teaching. Applicants should demonstrate awareness of and sensitivity to the educational goals of a multicultural population as might have been gained in cross- cultural study, training, teaching, and other comparable experiences.

Teaching excellence, publication in refereed journals, and active university and community service are required for tenure and promotion.

Responsibilities:
Teaching and developing curriculum in their field and in introductory courses.
Teaching and advising of graduates and undergraduates. Committee work at the department, college, and university level.
Service to the community is expected, for example, through media interviews and presentations.

Salary Range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Starting Date: August 21, 2017
