Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Institute for Policy Integrity at New York University School of Law (policyintegrity.org) is seeking a postdoctoral research fellow in economics. Policy Integrity is a non-partisan think tank dedicated to improving the quality of government decisionmaking through advocacy and scholarship in the fields of administrative law, economics, and public policy. We work to identify and support economically sound policies related to energy, the environment, public health, and safety.

Economic fellows will collaborate with legal and economic researchers to prepare policy reports, briefs, and journal articles on a variety of issues including energy and climate policy, natural resources management, utility regulation, and benefit-cost analysis. The ideal candidate should have a focus on policy-oriented research in one of the following areas: (1) environmental economics, resource economics, and numerical optimization; or (2) utility regulation, energy economics and policy, and electricity market design/pricing. Candidates with similar expertise are also encouraged to apply. Excellent written communication skills required.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in economics by July 2017. The appointment is for August 2017 to July 2018, with the option to renew for a second year. Fellows will have the opportunity to engage in independent research.
