The University of Michigan’s School of Information (UMSI) seeks a tenure-track assistant professor in the field of large scale causal behavior analytics and market design. We seek candidates whose research combines insights from the behavioral sciences with design thinking to focus on solving real world problems. Applicants whose work integrates theory and big data, especially when combined with technology, will be particularly well suited for this position. Areas of expertise include behavioral and experimental economics, econometrics, development, industrial organization, market and mechanism design, and public finance. Candidates should have a PhD by September 1, 2017, the starting date of this position.
