Tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Economics and Finance beginning in the Fall of 2017. ABDs are welcome to apply, but candidates are expected to complete a PhD in Economics or Finance by the time of appointment. The Department seeks a teacher/scholar with a commitment to students in and out of the classroom. The teaching load is three courses per semester. Possible courses in economics include Principles of Macroeconomics, Principles of Microeconomics and Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory. Courses in finance may include: Mergers & Acquisitions; Corporation Finance; Investments & Portfolios; Money, Banking & Financial Markets; Investment Strategies; Derivative Markets; and finance courses that reflect the candidate’s interests. Professional activity, including active scholarship and participation in College governance are required of all full-time faculty members. The successful candidate must combine teaching excellence with a strong commitment to Muhlenberg's General Education Curriculum, including diversity and global engagement, along with an intellectually compelling research agenda.

Evidence of teaching excellence should consist of a document containing two teaching evaluations and optionally a separate document with additional teaching evidence of the candidate’s choice.
