The University of Minnesota, Morris (UMM) announces an opening for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Economics, beginning fall 2017.

We welcome applications from candidates specializing in one or more of Labor, History of Economic Thought, Feminist/Gender Economics, and Comparative Economic Systems.

The successful candidate will regularly teach a section of Principles (micro or macro), an intermediate core course (preferably macro theory or money and banking), a senior-level field course (e.g. Labor Economics), and appropriate upper division electives. Preferred: interest in and ability to contribute in some meaningful way to a Management major that focuses on areas of overlap with social and behavioral science (Economics and Psychology), along with other core areas of the liberal arts. We especially welcome applications from candidates who are interested in complementing one of UMM's interdisciplinary programs (e.g. African and Black American Studies; American Indian Studies; Environmental Studies; Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies; Latin American Area Studies).
