The Department of Economics in the E. J. Ourso College of Business is seeking applications to fill a tenure-track appointment in Econometrics at the Assistant Professor level. This position will begin in August 2017. The Department has a strong research orientation and offers B.A., B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Economics. (http://business.lsu.edu/Economics/)

The Assistant Professor of Economics will provide undergraduate and graduate-level instruction in the Department of Economics. This position also entails active involvement in academic research and service to the profession and the University.

Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Economics or related field. ABD candidates will be considered if degree is conferred by time of appointment. Successful candidate will have a strong commitment to Econometric research with a promising research program, and be eager to teach graduate and undergraduate Econometrics.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. An offer of employment is contingent on a satisfactory pre-employment background check.
