The Research Institute of Economics and Management (RIEM) at the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) in Chengdu, China invites applications for a number of tenure-track and tenured positions in any field of economics, finance, management, and accounting. Academic rank will depend on publications and teaching experience. Most or all teaching is expected to be conducted in English. The compensation package includes salary starting at RMB 250,000, research fund, and a housing allowance of RMB 180,000. We are especially interested in applicants with prior teaching and research experiences.
SWUFE, located in a historical but affordable Chengdu, is one of the best universities in China and with more than 20,000 full-time students the largest Chinese university specializing in economics and management. Over the last several years, RIEM has successfully recruited more than fifty active full-time faculty members with PhDs from North America or Europe. RIEM is also the home of China Household Finance Survey, and additional consideration will be given to those whose research complements the Survey.
