The School of Economics at Henan University invites applicants for 2 permanent/full-time positions. Rank and fields are open, however, the emphasis will be on microeconomics. Candidates should hold a PhD in Economics or a related discipline from a leading university. ABDs must have completed their Doctorate at time of appointment. The successful candidate should demonstrate interest and ability to conduct high level research. Senior appointments are expected to assume a leadership role. The university provides excellent research conditions with a low teaching load. Salaries are competitive, and will be commensurate with qualification. The School of Economics at Henan University is one of the largest economic schools worldwide with 150 faculty members and more than 3000 students offering undergraduate, graduate and PhD programs in economics. The school has a young and growing team of professors with degrees from the US, Canada and Europe with a research focus on Applied Economics and Econometrics. The school expanded its international focus in recent years. It invites international visiting scholars, hosts international conferences, offers several student exchange programs with US, Canadian, European and Japanese universities, as well as a new graduate program exclusively taught in English.
