The School of Economics at Singapore Management University has received a major grant to support a program of research on ageing in Singapore. We seek applications from suitably qualified individuals for appointment as post-doctoral or research fellows for up to two years to conduct research in this area.
Applicants must have a PhD in Economics by the time they commence the appointment. The role may be of interest also to established researchers able to take long leave from their home institution.
Successful applicants will have flexibility in determining their research program in areas relevant to the study, such as health, labor, housing, and pensions. There is no teaching requirement, although fellows may be invited to contribute to short courses or teaching programs in their areas of interest.
Fellows will have access to the unique panel data set that is being established at SMU on the basis of a multi-year monthly survey of a panel of 12,000 middle-aged and older Singaporeans.
