The Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured position in macroeconomics, with a particular interest in open-economy macroeconomics, at the level of assistant, associate, or full professor to begin July 1, 2017.

Candidates should be actively engaged in research and committed to effective undergraduate teaching. Candidates for Associate Professor or Professor should have a strong publication record. Candidates are also expected to contribute to the Department's introductory and core programs. The teaching load is four courses per year. Additional duties include advising and mentoring students, carrying on a program of research, and participating in faculty governance at the departmental and university levels. Candidates for Associate Professor or Professor must have received their Ph.D. degree in economics or a related field; candidates for Assistant Professor should expect to have their Ph.D degree in economics or a related field by the time of start or very soon thereafter. Wesleyan values both scholarship and teaching very highly, has a strong, diverse undergraduate student body, and offers a generous sabbatical program.
