The Department of Economics invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to begin in the 2017-18 academic year. We seek candidates with teaching and research interests in international economics, but have a strong preference for candidates with a focus in international trade. Macalester College values a strong commitment to research, a promise of successful scholarly engagement and dedication to teaching excellence in a liberal arts environment. The teaching load is four courses the first year and five courses per year thereafter. Ph.D. expected by August 2017.
