Chair, Department of Economics and Finance, Jones College of Business, Middle Tennessee State University. Tenure-track faculty position at associate or full professor rank (Position #113005). Position begins August 1, 2016. Chair is responsible for academic leadership of department, attracting and retaining majors, working with other College programs, and maintaining and enhancing connections between the department and economics and finance professions. The chair is expected to pursue and obtain external funding and resources; attract, develop and retain outstanding faculty; work to improve student success at all levels; and to be available in person to both faculty and students. The chair is expected to actively promote undergraduate and graduate programs within the department. The department chair is expected to work with departmental faculty and College administration to assist in maintaining that accreditation. Successful candidate will have doctorate in Economics or Finance. Must have proven record of teaching and research, and credentials for tenure at Associate/Professor rank at an AACSB accredited university.
